Engineers at Westin Pumps took delivery of a worn out pump casing from a well-known Japanese shipping line.
After shot blasting the case inside and out, a special metal rebuilding material was applied to the eroded areas.
Once the material was set, the areas were machined with a vertical boring machine to the correct dimensions. Three coats of protective coating were then applied and the outside of the case was sprayed and re-assembled.
Back to full working condition, it will provide many more years of service.
