Money-saving dredging pumps repair

Dredging vessels

We received for overhaul two very tired dredging pumps, plus spare parts, from a dredging vessel in dry dock.

After stripping down and inspecting the pumps, we concluded that we could salvage them by using our blasting, coating and machining expertise, skills developed over nearly 50 years.

To replace them would have cost the ship operator tens of thousands of pounds. Fortunately, we were able to return the original pumps to optimum operating levels without need for replacement. The ship operator was, of course, delighted.

A reminder that we can inspect, repair, overhaul and test any type of marine or industrial pump up to 20 tonnes. With extensive CNC and manual machining capability, shot blasting, balancing and test facilities, almost all of the work is carried out in house.
